A Phone Recorder Reduces Employee Error By Providing You With Accurate Information
My phone recorder has helped me to run my pizza place much better. A while back we kept getting grumbles that the delivery orders were inaccurate. I own this tiny pizza place that does generally delivery. We have some clients carry out but that’s rare and it’s not a sit down place. We typically deliver.
I didn’t have a phone call recorder in place till I started getting these purchaser complaints. I didn’t actually know what to do. My employees, up to now, had barely made mistakes with customers orders. I had to work out a system to identify the problem, whether it was our system or one of my workers.
Luckily it didn’t take long before I determined the culprit. The phone recorder was instrumental in finding out who was to blame. One of my brothers children wasn’t focusing on what he was entering as an order. He was splitting up with his fiance at the time and his head wasn’t in his work. During a call I was standing next to him and saw him entering the order into the system. Later that night the purchaser called to claim he received the incorrect pizza. I made it up to the customer for a reduction next time and ran to hear the call. My nephew had not entered the order right.
A phone recorder can make a big difference in your business. It probably did for mine. After I worked out who was the problem, I had a talk with him. He owned up to his mistakes and guaranteed to be extra careful. He didn’t mess up again and I didn’t have to give out any more discounts due to mess ups. It is important to me that our customers enjoy our pizza but also that they know we care about giving them good shopper service. I feel that having the phone recorder in place is an additional inducement for my glorious staff to continue to pursue excellence in service.
